One that matters, the Red C Poll has some interesting trends emerging as FF are now consistently coming back into the chasing pack. Granted their lead over Fine Gael is still big but nowhere near last Christmas and with a leap you hear the backbenchers gnashing nails and teeth.

Just listening to last nights Vincent Browne. (usual Vincent editorialism anyway) Clare Daly said that the Socialist party would definitely not go into power with Fine Gael and Fianna Fail. With all the ballots counted, preferences transfered and seats awarded, the make up of the could-be Stormont Assembly is now known. It was an election of little surprise - the DUP and Sinn Fein grew, the UUP and SDLP shrunk and no major names suffered shock defeats (akin to Trimble in the 2005 Westminster elections).
