At the least it seems Sinn Fein are hoping to pick up 6 additional seats in this election. Mary Lou McDonald reckons they can pick up seats in Donegal (not sure if one or both), Sligo-North Leitrim, Cork North Central, Waterford and Wexford. The PD’s have always relied on the fact that they are strong in certain constituencies and not in others. But to their credit they avoided overtly being Jackie Healy Rae sticking to their free market credentials. Alas with McDowell pulling a Healy Rae over the Poolbeg incinerator are they any different?
