However, twenty years after the estate was built, [...]

During this evening’s edition of RTÉ’s Questions and Answers, Labour party Leader Pat Rabbitte, withdrew his “menopausal Paris Hilton” remark.

Niall wrote it, and Willie Signed it

But Willie didn’t really know what it was he was signing.
Willie O’Dea thought he was putting his signiture to a leaflet for Niall Collins when he signed the dotted line.
In reality, he was signing a letter urging former former constituents to give their Number One vote to Niall Collins. 1,300 copies of the letter [...]

Dissention in the ranks

Whilst looking for something completely different on Google news, I came across this:
Cllr Frank Chambers, Fianna Fail candidate, said that Mayo students in Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Galway would struggle to make it home.
They are now in “limbo land” over their chances of getting home to vote, he said, and “every effort should be made [...]

No Green posters until election is called

Election candidates are going overkill on the election posters before the election has even been called. Picture : Limerickblogger.org
Lashing up the election posters could prove to be a costly mistake for politicians in Limerick, given that it is a week before the traditional Bonfire night on April 30th.

An epiphany

Did Willie O’Dea put his posters with the dodgy punctuation up to take advantage of the celebrations associated with the ancient pagan feast of Bealtain?
