Today I read with increasing incredulity, the attempt being made by Prof. William Reville, Professor for the Public Understanding of Science at one of our state-funded universities, UCC, to say that science and religion were not so different after all.

Today it was reported that Ireland is now the European Leader in Foreign Direct Investment in the Life Sciences (Biotechnology and Pharmaceuticals, generally) within Europe. In the 12 months from June 2006 to June 2007, we attracted more Foreign Direct Investment than any other country in Europe.

So, I bought this month’s village magazine (pictured) because the front page promised me an in-depth intelligent look at Eoghan Harris and his nomination to the Seanad.

I see today that the Berkeley Court and Jury’s Ballsbridge have closed for renovations. When I mean renovations, I mean they are going to be completely knocked down and a large complex of apartments are going to be built there.
