Fianna Fail Frontbench Unveiled

Read more about: Uncategorized     Print This Post

Micheal Martin’s new front bench contains some similar faces, some interesting backbenchers and a few faces that only political anoraks will be familiar with – e.g. Cllr Mary Fitzpatrick (Bertie’s bete noir) and Averil Power.
As widely speculated, Mary Hanafin gets the nod as Deputy Leader and we can expect more of the same following her performance last night on TWIP. Still no mention of hard decisions being taken with two front benchers becoming one in Dun Laoghaire.

Why isn’t Calleary the spokesman on public sector reform? He handles Croke Park now.

And interesting that financial sector reform is separated from Finance.

Wonder who is Spokesperson for the Nuclear Energy Section of the Department of the Environment staffed by a Principal Officer and Assistant Principal Officers on big money and pensions – easily known the ice-cold frost of the recession hasn’t bitten the Custom House yet !
