Taoiseach Brian Cowen said: ‘This overwhelming negativity needs to stop because it’s not in our national interest to see that continue.
‘It is portraying our country as incapable of coping when in fact all of the success we had in the past was not illusory.
‘It is the community spirit that I have seen throughout the country in recent days as some communities face a very difficult situation because of the weather conditions.
While others would call it overwhelming reality compared to the previous 5 years. Where our success was an illusion based debt. And the Taoiseach is a bit delusional Anyway really all I can say is.
Biffo says relax
When I read about, or listen to Cowan, lately the only song that immediately springs to mind is Leonard Cohen’s ‘ Dress Rehearsal Rag ‘, on the other hand Dermot Ahern, sounded and looked very much like a leader in waiting yesterday.
I was very impressed with the skills he displayed in dealing with what is a very poignant and serious matter, and not just yesterday, he always appears to be articulate and decisive, and shows the ability to communicate effectively with the ordinary person.
I am not a FFer, but if I were I would much prefer someone who could speak and look like a leader, instead of the present incumbent.
