Youth Media for Europe – Video Releases
Read more about: Uncategorized
Youth Media for Europe is a project of the European Movement Ireland/Irish Youth Media Development in association with a number of partners in media organisations and supported by the European Commission.
25 young people from the five European Parliament constituencies on the island of Ireland were selected to take part in an intensive 2 day training course in reporting which included inputs from bloggers, journalists from RTE, print and other outlets. Following this the reporters fanned out around the country and you can read the output on the blog and indeed we’ve included several pieces in our web round ups during the campaign. One of the main points of the project was to allow the reporters to create pieces of work with whatever they have to hand and introduce them to candidates on the campaign trail.
Today we want to highlight video interviews that were conducted by Eoghan Dockrell and filmed by Craig Deegan with candidates contesting the Dublin constituency.
A family sony camcorder and a bit of neck and phonecalls and Eoghan interviewed Deirdre de Búrca in her van,
Prionsias de Rossa
and Mary Lou McDonald inside Sinn Féin’s Dublin HQ
The remainder of the YME video output can be viewed here (including an interview with George Lee!)
Head over to our T
And also an interview with Joe Higgins!
