  • 12:50 PM Fergal Crehan - Moratorium is a tradition whereby the media gave the voters a day to make their minds up. The Government recently introduced a bill which would have banned opinion polls in the final week of a campaign but it didn’t survive the Senate due to being quite obviously in breach of the Constitutional guarantee of freedom of expression.

  • 12:50 PM sinnfeinireland - In Cabra. Lorraine saved us with coddle. Two bowls. End is nigh. Will the gov survive? Its over to u. Use your vote, b4 it’s too late. GA
  • 1:21 PM Dan sullivan - The opinion poll bill which died in the Seanad just before the 2002 election, died in large part due to a flaw which while banning polls in the last 2 weeks of campaign left it perfectly legal to publish opinion polls on election day itself. It was pointed out by Shane Ross.
