Moratorium Evening: Web Roundup

Youth Media Europe’s Eoghan Dockrell nails down Brian Cowen for an interview and (wait for it) he is impressive. Maybe he should talk to more young people.

With an election we all get carried away by how important it is for all of us, we are watching, chatting, analysing, canvassing, polling, spinning and so forth. Others aren’t and it is only for the lovely mention of irishelection.com in this great post by Unkie Dave that we see a bit of the wider world creep but realise just how important tomorrow is if those on their sickbed think it is the most important vote in many a year. Your duty to vote tomorrow is overriding. Make sure you vote.

Fine Gael Media’s final youtube video is not a party address from Enda Kenny but one from Richard Bruton. Make of that signal what you will.

Speaking of voting
Damien asserts that a vote for Labour is a vote for Fianna Fail. Unsurprisingly it is a thesis that generates much comment, not least because terrorism and Sinn Fein get brought up pretty quickly. If you want some ideas for tactical voting check out Jason’s post.

Joe Higgins hits out at the Herald for their red scare tactics with big willy. Dermot Looney’s campaign draws to a close with a post from campaign manager Paul Dillon – he has fought an ace online campaign it must be said.

A message of thanks

from Eoghan Murphy

Stephen Spillane brings us the last predictions from Predict09. Check how good they did here on irishelection.com from Saturday. If everyone feels like this person then I am not sure the election is actually predictable.

Finally, it isn’t a blog but it is less than widely read so pop over to Le Monde Diplo or a read for their take on Ireland’s elections.
