George Lee did not shake John Gormley’s hand either – because he was not in the chamber!! Gormley and Ryan often miss Order of Business and leaders questions – a point remarked upon again today while many of us were watching the live feed.

No I don’t think you missed it – unless it happened on his way down the steps into the chamber?

How long will George be in the third row of seats. I’m surprised Enda didn’t push Richard out of his seat right there and then. He must be bursting with excitement at finally having the opportunity to demote the last serious threat to his leadership.

p.s. Did anyone else notice there are a disturbing amount of bald spots on top of the heads of our leaders.

    From miriam lord today…..

They got down to work with the order of business. For once, James Bannon didn’t participate with a question on whither the National Monuments Bill. It was probably decided at executive level not to expose poor George to an eruption from Bonkers until he’s found his feet.

it is all ahead of him!

I read that earlier and I now know James’s nickname – the world is a better place!

James is an excitable chap at times, but his heart is in the right place and he helped me carry some leaflet boxes out of HQ a few years back so I owe him for that.

I’ve often wondered that there isn’t a touch of the Conan O’Brien’s about him? http://debates.oireachtas.ie/images/people/30/JamesBannon.jpg

Also, Colm, if you seriously think that Enda views Richard as a threat to be removed at the first opportunity then you’re deluding yourself. FG learned a good while ago that it achieves more as a political team than when it’s operating a conveyor feed belt for the defenestration of leaders.
