Dublin Count Details Emerging as Anger Rises over Secret Process **South / North & West Tally Updates**

Over on the liveblog we have figures from TV3 on first count totals…
Dublin European Count First Count approx figures from TV3 – Quota is 101,000 – Mitchell on 95,000, De Rossa on 85, 000, Ryan on 55,000 MaryLou McDonald on 48,000 Joe Higgins on 50,000, Byrne on 19,000.

As I Have it right now Simons and Sweeney are eliminated and McKenna has also been eliminated on a second count. I have tally estimates on transfer totals – am inputting to update.

With health warning:
Estimate of McKenna Transfers – 14.4% to Mitchell, 3% to Byrne, 10.8% to De Burca, 15% to De Rossa, 11.8% to HIggins, 9.8% to McDonald, 4.7% to Ryan.
Estimate of De Burca Transfers – 32.5% to De Rossa, 15.8% to Mitchell, 8.9% to Higgins, 5.7% to McDonald, 5% to Byrne, 15.8% to Ryan.

Update from Mark Coughlan:
Sources from four of the groups involved in the Dublin European elections have confirmed that the candidates were informed by officials of their FPV totals. The information has been given to Irish Election off-the-record as above. Each candidate was told not to release any count details though it is important to point out that all the first count information was confirmed off the record by each group.

Two of the groups involved had threatened to call in adjudicators from the European Commission if the count was to go ahead without the total for each round being publicly announced. The officials are not allowed to release such information before 9PM Irish time under European law, but appeared to have skirted around that by counting and releasing information unofficially. The groups who had threatened to call in the commission were placated by being given their first count totals.
