As long-term readers will know we were quick to jump this twitter bandwagon back in 2007. For the General election (with much help from Damien and Suzy) we were tweeting our hearts away with news, tidbits and results. Anyhow, the account has gone a bit quiet, as I didn’t want to simply post our RSS to the account.
Now however we have gotten our hands on the Irish Election account on twitter, with thanks to Conn. Site users can head over to follow us at that account, current users who follow @irishpolitics will get an RSS feed to that account from the site.
On a related note, thanks to everyone for their ongoing support for the site, as we come to election time readers, bloggers and candidates have been nothing but helpful and encouraging.
Cian, an idea occurred to me yesterday even though it is very last minute (nominations close tomorrow) and I’m not 100% sure of the regs but if it is possible to run a local election candidate for the sake of €100 deposit then might it be an idea for IE to put someone forward and through that get admission to the count at the RDS?

hey joe, I checked that url there and it seems fine for me and via my google reader. If you are looking for our raw feed it is hosted by feedburner at http://feeds.feedburner.com/Irishelection – try that one and it might work better. Sorry I cant be of more help,
