One of Ireland’s most famous Segway users, George Lee – also sometime RTE Economist- is once again rumoured to be running for Fine Gael in Dublin South. As the nomination convention is tomorrow night and local Cllr Jim O Leary is ruling himself out, the pressure to unveil a celebrity parachute candidate is growing. Cannot wait to see how this turns out. Any pics of George campaigning on the scooter to the usual email. Hopefully we will get a blog for the webroundup.

I am glad to hear that George Lee is going to be FG candidate. He is very smart man and people like him (who are willing to rescue Irish people and economy) should join him and bring hope to Irish nation.
I am a non irish person and I am worried that this actual government is incapable to lead irish people. They are going to destroy the nation.
I wish Enda Kenny could step out as a FG leader and let Richard Burton lead the party, because Enda Kenny is not fit politically to be the country leader.
This is my opinion.
I urge all the irish to vote for george lee in byelection.
