Get on the Register for June 5th Elections
Read more about: Democracy, Ireland, Irish Election
Whether you are angry or calm, voters need to get on the register to vote at the June elections. Not only have we a local and a European election, we have two by-elections and the potential to send major political messages. Whatever your feelings privately on politics and leadership, you need to make them public on the day. Go to checktheregister.ie to see if you can vote and if you aren’t there get on with it.
As Patrick points out this is not limited to Irish citizens. The deadline for addition to the supplementary register is Monday May 18th – you can register to vote where you live by filling out the following forms;
1) Fill the RFA 2 if you are a first time voter, not previously on the register.
2) Fill RFA 3 if you have moved from one constituency where you registered to another where you aren’t, this will put you on the register for the constituency you have moved to – you can forward the RFA 3 to your new authority to process.
As the date is May 18th for the receipt of forms by your council you need to get cracking on registration and postage. Don’t get left behind.

Thanks for the links. I tried to get a form from the library several weeks ago, and after digging through a locked file cabinet they only came up with the wrong form for the wrong year.
Third try’s the charm?
