Kudos to Deirdre de Burca for flagging Suzy’s post on the Fine Gael cogging BBC.co.uk for their new website. Not so much kudos for suggesting that Mairead McGuinness is copying her clothing style (a bit Single White Female).
Green Party MEP candidate for Dublin Senator Deirdre de Burca has said she is flattered by the imitation of her poster campaign by Fine Gael’s Mairead McGuinness in an advert in today’s Farming supplement in the Irish Independent, saying ‘they obviously like my style’. The posters feature Ms McGuiness in a similar pose and clothing as the campaign posters launched by Senator De Burca on 23 March.
Hmm. Evidence below the fold. Though there is no evidence of a news story in this at all.

Controversy arose recently over the launch of the new Fine Gael website, which was similar in design to the BBC website. The Party was forced to backtrack after bloggers discovered that part of the website’s code had been copied and pasted. Actually what I think is interesting about this is the body language that is used. I have noticed that deBurca, McGuinness as well as Sinn Feins Toireasa Ferris and Kathleen Funchion all have pictures with their arms folded
folded arms actually represent defensiveness, protectiveness and someone who is closed
