Labour Playing a dangerous card.

In a Press Release today from Labour “Broughan demands that Coughlan and Fás facilitate SRT apprentices”

Deputy Broughan said: “This is another savage breach of faith by Corporate Affairs Director Stephanie Bennett and CEO Bernd Kessler and their Middle East master, Sheikh Mohammed Al Maktoum.

Why does he highlight the origin of Sheikh Mohammed Al Maktoum and not Bernd Kessler? why not “Central European CEO” Bernd Kessler. I guess that is because “Central European CEO ” is not as inflamatory as “Middle East master”. By the way the  Sheikh Mohammed Al Maktoum he refers to is  Prime Minister of The UAE and emir of Dubai. (who via DAE owns some of SR Technics) So nice to see that Labour are respectful of the titles of foreign rulers.

Simon – are you for accusing the Labour Party and Tommy Broughan, of all people, of playing the race card?

Well Dermot considering the Language used in the release then obviously that is what he is playing at. If it was just a lesson in geography why not mention that Bernd Kessler is from Central Europe?
