Boucher was Second Choice as Bank Of Ireland Chief Executive

Minster for Finance Brian Lenihan has effectively told the Dail that the new Chief Executive of Bank of Ireland, Richie Boucher was second choice, he admitted that the bank only appointed someone on the inside, after a well qualified external candidate turned down the job.

    And state was 2nd choice as Anglo rescuer — apparently he sees it as too weak to merge with Irish Nationwide, but fine for the government to nationalize.
