I don&#039;t think you - or many others for that matter - fully appreciate the influence that the media has on consumers. Page 3 might be one of the main reasons that people buy The Sun, but if people weren&#039;t being influenced by the rest of the content, then corporations wouldn&#039;t spend millions on advertising in the publication.

If Cadbury&#039;s spend significant amounts of cash just to broadcast a short clip of a gorilla playing the drums in the knowledge that it will bring people around to their way of thinking, then it&#039;s hardly a stretch to imagine that the Murdoch media played a role in influencing the outcome of the Irish vote.</description>

I&#039;ve given up on the punch and judy efforts of Prime Time and have made Vincent Browne a scheduled highlight of the evening. At least there is a better than even chance people might speak their brains on VB.</description>
