The president of France, the current holder of the European Union’s rotating presidency, has floated the scheme as a way of cutting the number of Commissioners, currently at 27, one for each member state.
“Countries which share a common cultural heritage, such as Germany and Austria, Great Britain and Ireland or the Benelux countries could share a common Commissioner,” German newspaper Die Welt said, quoting high-level French sources.
Now the last Austria and Germany shared a representative to my knowledge it was under the terms of the anschluss and did not go well. We fought the British for about 700 years on and off to not have the same representative. I also note that he does not suggest the French share. I wasn’t aware that the anschluss was such a disaster. It ended in catastrophe, but that was for unrelated reasons, I thought.
Probably, Sarkozy wanted to have France linked with Luxembourg and the Francophone areas of the country formerly known as Belgium, but he was too sensitive to say so at this delicate point

Simon, I knew that, but Belgium, and therefore Benelux, is not long for this world. Sarkozy knows that even better than I but cannot say it.(As we know, his tact is … -:)… prodigious). Wallonia and Luxembourg have little in common with the Netherlands.
Hi, what if – just what if… Sarkosy is a puppet for fake acts against EU just to get rid of doubts about merging the world ? Everybody think that he is trying to disturb EU and in reverse people start to act opposite hence somebody gets the result anyway but in reality he is just setting ours minds to convince people to support EU ideas hence – one worlrd gov.
It works like this: If I want your support I send someone to spread propaganda that you should not do this or that hence you will act opposite – and that opposite it exactly what I want!
I could also propose to you something you dont like but there is a risk that you would refuse it.

- no voters, no election, no politicians (puppets brought by presidents of the biggest controlling companies – like warfare companies, oil concerns etc.
- politicians were given to all of us to play with our heads – each of them is supported by someone much much powerful than whole gov.
- if public has no demands (usually created by propaganda) there is no chance the system can handle it – hence it collapse
