Two professors discuss Lisbon

Read more about: Lisbon Treaty     Print This Post

The Bloggingheads consortium does a chat on the Lisbon vote — prolific academic bloggers Henry Farrell and Dan Drezner. I’ve picked out an 8 minute clip where they get into some of the deeper international relations issues associated with EU integration. If nothing else, an example of one direction where blogging technology is headed.

Excellent find P, really interesting takke by Henry Farrell on the EU project considering his status as “outside/insider” if you get me.

Questioning the trajectory of euro integration is a great idea but it is the kernel of all sorts of problems for Europe – not least rupture, division and the need to enshrine state-like properties to channel contestation.
