Poland to say no?

Poland is emerging as another potential problem for Lisbon Treaty ratification, with the office of the president – who has yet to sign off on the document – beginning to publicly argue that the EU pact is dead following the Irish No.
I think Sarkozy is going to be visiting Poland soon. Another interesting piece is this one:
Moscow has raised the prospect that “yet another impasse” over the EU’s future institutional set up – caused by the recent Irish No vote to the Lisbon Treaty – could affect talks on a new pact of strategic partnership between the union and Russia.”With the Lisbon treaty in force and a clearer picture of how the EU is organised, it would have been easier to negotiate the pact,” Russia’s ambassador to the EU, Vladimir Chizhov, said on Monday (23 June).
Hard ball or true. Or is this a showing that the world would rather negotiate with one block rather then 27. I am sure they do, but do we? The negotiations were held up by Poland who had a dispute with Russia over meat exports.
Head over to our T
or would Russia very much like a deal where by it can ignore Poland and deal directly with its big customer Germany rather than having to have to get Poland onside. Of course does Russia want Poland to think well the Russians are for the treaty hmm wonder why is that maybe we should be against it. Considering the warm relationships between the two its not that extreme an idea even if it does sounds like that scene out of the princess bride. Certainly Russia is only interested in Russia and there endorsement wont win friends to the treaty in eastern europe.
