sir this and sir that might do very well on the apprentice but thankfully it does not draw much water on this side of the sea. if reilly had been granted the bailout on the threat of a black propaganda campaign that would have been a step backward for this country. I feel sorry for the poor people who will lose their jobs and concerned that the loss of this high skill industry bodes poorly for the overall future of our economy. Germany has built its economy on high skill high wage manufacturing. is that option closed to Ireland on the evidence of this.

I think the Sindo are hoping the PDs might revive somehow, they’re certainly not looking to embrace FG.

i think you might be right Dan but to be fair the Sindo has been consistently meh-to-negative on Cowen. It is clear that they will not give him as easy a ride as the last Taoiseach but does it matter?

Might that be the cause of the breach? Waterford Wedgewood are looking for government intervention and perhaps Cowen hasn’t shown signs of budging on it.

I groaned when I saw the headline attacking Cowen.
Still if there is a generous bailout of a certain company on the way then it will praise him to high heaven. The Sindo is easy to understand provided you dont think its just a regular newspaper. Thats a big mistake.

Sounds like the Sindo is doing a cut-and-paste from the typical anti-Gordon Brown comments, right down to the accusation of being “Stalinist”.
