If people vote for FF in Government with their track record, they'll vote for Mary White as President. Going by the logic of Irish people, she'll be a favourite candidate.

As I understand it, she sends a box of Lir chocolate to her electorate during Seanad campaigns. As such, I'd be all for her running a presidential campaign.

Simon, I came across here contribution to the Dail Committee only a few days while I was doing some research on prices. I had remembered that Tesco and Superquinn executives had gone before the Committee. When I originally read Senator White's contribution I thought it was pretty poor behaviour. But I hadn't planned on doing a post on it until I heard yesterday evening that she was running for President. You should try going through old Dail debates and committees using the search engine on the Oireachtas site. It sure does pass a lazy dog-day afternoon away.
