Parlour game

Frank Dunlop won’t tell the Mahon tribunal which person, then seeking a High Court appointment and who subsequently got it, met him in February 2000. Here’s the complete list of current justices, although in principle someone could have cycled in and out of the job during the interval and not be on this list. No doubt Mahon has their own complete list. One little problem is that the High Court is the first port of call for Mahon-related procedural appeals.

Quirke and O’Higgins were appointed in 1997. Is the list in order of appointment? If so, it can’t be anyone above them on the list. Is there Legal Eagle out there who could source a list of when these people were appointed? Is it not intersting also that Mahon appears uninterested in pursuing this? Especially since the Tribunal itself has on occasion found itself restrained by orders of the High Court?
