Top 20 Irish Blogs

Thanks to WBS for drawing be up to Slugger today. Been quite busy and might otherwise have missed the very interesting Top 20 Irish Blogs. UK Blogger Iain Dale has compiled a list of Irelands top 20 blogs and published them on his blog. Personall I think it would have been silly to exclude slugger Mick, since it is justifiably number 1.
We are number two here, though that is a reflection of the quality of blogghers that thankfully share their work here. Nonetheless thanks very much to both Mick and Iain. For those of you who reckon their should be others included Mick and Iain are looking for suggestions or feel free to post them below.

Your place is well deserved Cian. It’s a great achievement. I liked Micks nod to P.ie as well.
I am of course including Simon in that as well…
Ah its not about simon and I (I know how po-faced that sounds but its true, look at the content!!) Its about the quality of irish bloggers who write here. And a very well deserved 3rd for the CLR too, congratulations all round I think.
But is it really a listing of the top/best Irish blogs? Or a listing of Irish blogs in the north with a few from the south tacked on? Naturally all such listings will be subjective but I can’t help but think that there is considerable north east bias to the listing (and no I wouldn’t be including my blog in any such listing even if it was the top 100). Still it makes for something to argue about and isn’t that what we need right now after the dismal showing of the rugger and footie lads?
It’s like the old NME trope about a band coming out and saying ‘it’s all about the music, but if someone likes us that’s a plus’. Well, yeah.
Anyhow, Dan I think you make a very good point, albeit you’re being a tad modest. It is something to argue about. And after the last couple of weeks, yes, that’s a blessing in itself.
These kind of lists are always a bit weird. The Nordies dominate, but all of the blogs mentioned seem to be interesting enough. I’ve added a few to my bloglines. It’s nice to see some of my favourites getting a nod.
