So Bertie took the money from Celia's account that she was supposed to be spending on the house and put it in a locked safe that she didn't have the combination to while he traveled around the country morning noon and night rebuilding FF and all this to make it more accessible to her? I'm seeing Transport 21 in a whole new light now.

Look in all honesty if he had simply said he didn't want her spending any money on furnishings without him know exactly what she was buying in case it was too racy or she covered the house in Green and Gold, it would at least have made some sense. But if that's how Bertie's brain works then I'm surprised the country isn't more badly ran that it is.

Plus ça change...our Bartholemew, having found grateful, but disinterested (of course) businessmen to pay for his trips to Old Trafford for so many years, has found a way to get the taxpayer to finance a trip to Stade de France.

Would you buy a used car from him?
