Doherty (never the most reliable of hacks) reported that a Sunday Independent columnist was lobbying for one of his/her colleagues to be made a senator. Except they were claiming Katy French should get the job. http://blogorrah.com/sunday_independent/ It's stretching it a little, but this may have been a veiled hint to Bertie, since it was just after the Late Late Show Harris appearance.
