The blue lines don’t represent elected candidates – they represent “Oireachtas sub-panel” candidates, of whom no more than six and no fewer than five can be elected.

Correction – at least four Oireachtas and four non-Oireachtas should be elected.

    Currently elected:

    Doherty (SF) 1st count
    Ryan (Lab) 1st count
    Moylan (FF) 14th count
    Walsh (FF) 16th count
    O’Brien (FF) 16th count

Looking at it at the moment, Carty and Callanan (FF), along with Burke, Bradford and JP Phelan (FG) all look to be safe (Phelan because he’s an Oireachtas panel candidate). The last seat could be any one of Regan, Comiskey and Byrne (all FG).

    FF 5 (-1) FG 4 (no change) Lab 1 (no change) SF 1 (+1)

Burke (FG) elected on 20th count.

    Standing at 21st count

    JP Phelan (FG) 83.865
    Bradford (FG) 79.342
    Callanan (FF) 77.793
    Carty (FF) 73.206
    Regan (FG) 65.593
    Byrne (FG) 52.701
    Colleary (FF) 50.540
    Bohan (FF) 49.419

The first remaining five are all almost certain winners (Carty, Phelan and Regan are all Oireachtas sub-panel so there can’t be any repeat of yesterday’s freak result).

Bohan is from Leitrim and may move Colleary (from Sligo) closer but it’s unlikely to change the eventual order.

Carty (FF) elected on 26th count without reaching quota
