Going by what the Irish Times says is in the deal, it’s very hard to see it being accepted – unless there are many positives that the paper failed to get a hold of or print before now.

The answers are in and they aren’t good for the Greens. Shannon, M3, Transport 21, top-rate of income tax, specific commitments on carbon taxes…nothing. So what exactly do the Green’s stand for? Before this Dail is out, Bertie will be strolling down Inchydoney beach harping on about how he’s the last real environmentalist left.

Looking at what the times says is the deal. I can’t see it pass. Doubt that is the deal either. Say bringing down expectations so that when the deal comes out they will look good.

I would say it includes both. Eamon Ryan appeared to be preparing Green supporters for some disappointments last night on Q&As. A lot of talk about not getting everything etc. I hope I’m wrong though.
