When to Stop trying?

Read more about: Uncategorized     Print This Post

It has often been seen that candidates seeking election will not succeed on their first attempt, and it is still advisable to candidates, not to give up hope and to keep trying, but in some cases it has to be said that “you might as well just give up”. To give an example of this I am referring to the situation Jim Tallon is in. From this Link, you can see Jim’s record of attempts to be elected to the Dail and as you can see his attempts have been quite fruitless to say the least.
Type Jim Tallon into google and read the stories or even check him here on youtube, as he declares himself a prisoner of war when being held by the Irish Republic. He claims himself to be President of the Independent Republic of Glasnost (which is his farm in Arklow) .
Jim Tallon of Arklow, Co. Wicklow is running for the coming election. He has ran in every election, unsuccessfully, since 1981(he has even ran in different Constituencies in the same election, as seen from the first link), maybe now is the time to give up, Jim, or maybe it will be twelfth time lucky.

Are you sure he isn’t in need of a bit of help ? Seems a bit of a head case to continue trying without making any kind of an impact, but its a free country and all are welcome to try their hand and see if they’ll get elected.

Yeah I stressed the importance of the videos so people could make up their mind as to how much help! It’s a free country alright, in fact this guy has taken it one step further and declared himself leader of his own little independent state.

Bill Tormey demonstrates commitemnt and give hope to multi losers. Bill, now with FG in DNW, finally was elected to a positon, dublin city councillor, on his tenth attempt. Last i heard he is in the running for a seat in DNW battling out with Rosin Shorthall for the final one.
