If you use the mobile messaging service Twitter you can add the IrishPolitics user (that’s us) as a friend and any count updates from this site will be texted to your mobile. Twitter is free to use and you just need to register your mobile with them to receive the updates.

Instructions: go to Twitter and sign up.
Under ‘Settings’ and ‘Phone and IM’ choose ‘Activate Phone’.
Enter your phone number (including +353 for the country code)
It will then give you a code to text to the Twitter UK number for activation.
Text the activation code.
Go back to http://twitter.com/IrishPolitics and clickClick on “add IrishPolitics”.

You will also be able to send IrishElection.com text updates all during count day by texting our special number and all updates will be seen on a special section here on IrishElection. The number will be announced tomorrow.

And then of course is the fact that we want you, the readers to get down to the count centres and give us on-the-ground reports about what is going down and phone into our MySay.com number and your report will be processed automatically and put online where everyone will get to hear you. Please contact us if you want to be on the reporting team.
