Mcdowell up the Poll

Read more about: Dublin South Central, Green Party, Progressive Democrats     Print This Post

Last time around it was McDowell climbing the poll that seemingly decided the  result. Will John Gormley attacking McDowell coming down from a poll be this on. Footage here sorry about the quality. Hat tip Damien

Gormley made a real show of himself in my opinion. He just interrupted in a very unprofessional manner. It symbolises the desperation of his party, whose poll-ratings have collapsed to 5% in the late stages of the campaign. McDowell’s new poster will get far more publicity now than it would otherwise have done. People can see – though perhaps not the leftwing media – that the Greens are still – at heart – merely a party of protest. McDowell was right about the Greens’ plans for a bank-levy of €200 million per annum – which will cost thousands of jobs in the financial-sector.

And publishing a leaflet full of either lies or half-truths isn’t unprofessional? Isn’t an act of desperation from a party who are very low in the polls?

    Methinks I detect some bias.

Oh, and here’s a link to the rte coverage of the event. If you click the little camera icon at the top of the article it will open up the high quality footage provided by them.

I wouldnt be a fan but fair play to Mc. He kept his cool and proved his point about gormley. Pity the quality isn’t better I would like to see how it ended, but to me Mc came out on top.

Just a point of note, Mr gormley gave the name of someone who allegedly leaked tribunal documents from the tribunal to the media. It might be worth looking into for the site’s sake.

i heard that squid but i think he was referring to the chap cited by Corcoran as the person he handed the documents to in order to give them to McDowell (i tried to get the link but the new indo site has shite archiving

Q: On the evidence of this video, John Gormley appears to be what?

A: I believe Jim Carrey said it best in Liar Liar: “A mad man, your honor, a desperate fool at the end of his pitiful rope.”

I am going to be jumping up and down and laughing in the face of these delusional PD fanboys when the election is over and they are out of government. I won’t be afraid to say I told you so boys!

Ha ha! Just watched the whole thing on RTE. I loved the way background PDs kept interrupting McD and laughing at Gormley’s jokes! And then yer wan going up the pole as well! And the cussing of the RTE crew! And Liz just standing there! Actually don’t be laughing at Liz. Where was McDowell the rhetoritician? Has he been scripted all these years? The laboured gag about the left, far left etc. was a dud. TIMING MAN, TIMING!
