Its too late alright but if you were registered before its unlikely you have been taken off.

Just off phone from DLR CO Co they have said to send it to them as they will forward it to kerry co co and take care of it from their side. This may not be the case for all authorities so everyone should ring around.

It is a disgrace that their is no uniform date to be had either. That needs to be statutory.

Yeah, I rang today after reading your comment yesterday – the lady said to fax it to DLRCOCO not Kerry CO CO and they would take care of it. Your right I completely misread that section which states (for commenters)

I hereby authorise (name of registration authority) __________________________City/County Council to delete
my name from the register of electors in respect of the address at (3) above and, where appropriate*, to forward this
form to the registration authority for the address indicated at (2) above.

I am going to ring again. To be honest a new electoral act from scratch would be the best option, with lessons learned from this election straight away.

That’s very odd that they are telling you to send the RFA3 to the new local authority – in the form, you sign that you are authorising your old council to delete you and to forward your form to the new one. I did a random ring around of councils yesterday on the closing date question and got a different answer from each one of them. Most bizarre.

We need a new Electoral Act, or at the very least a consolidated version of all the amendments and a list of how everything is defined.
