Around the country with 21 or so seats left to fill. From RTE: ” 145 Dáil seats have been filled so far, leaving 21 to be decided in seven constituencies.
The state of the parties is: Fianna Fáil 72; Fine Gael 43; Labour 16; PDs 1; Green Party 5; Sinn Féin 3 and Others 5.”
At this stage, we know who will be in power. Its a matter of who will prop up Fianna Fail. Proposals will be made to, and taken from, all parties who have the mathematical numbers. Preferences for Government?

Will listen in, oops that’s five minutes. Does anyone have a clear indication as to where + or – the parties will stand at the end?
Just ballpark figures, for example I hear FG may be 51. Indo’s look like 5 perhaps 6, etc, etc…
ballparks, FF 78/9 FG 50/51 Lab 19/20 SF 3/4 GP 5
I reckon ill be on a little way into the show so you can have your breakfast.
GP 6, as I think Trevor Sargent hasn’t gotten over the quota yet. He’s certain for it though.
Mary White shockingly managed to get over the quota
That was a great count last night, Carlow was one way then another. Dun Laoghaire was fantastic fun too. Richard BB polled fantastically well. Its good for blogging that he is back in!
Does anyone know precisely which Indo’s are back, or likely to return?
Gregory, McGrath, Lowry…who else so far?
Healy Rae subject to recount and Beverly Cooper Flynn
That is one demanding list of supporters. FF would surely prefer to work with a single party rather than five (very volatile and varied) independents?
Cheers, did Healy in Tipp South lose out to Mansergh?
last seat still up for grabs. Waiting count later but Mansergh is tipped.
Ah…Hmm…food for thought.
Dun Laoghaire was fantastic fun too. Richard BB polled fantastically well. Its good for blogging that he is back in!
And the re-election of Ciaran Cuffe in the same constituency is good for video blogging, so it’s all good.
