Not paintballing from a moving car. I’m talking about dedicating an entire week to moving from county to county with sawn-off paintball gun on foot or by bicycle, whatever it takes. There is a local artist here in Wicklow (I’m sure he/she is not alone) who has been artistically adjusting these cheesy head-shots with a black marker. Kudos to them. Really.

Donagh, as you well know paint balling from a moving car is almost impossible as the pellet will go off shortly after exiting the barrel as it hits the oncoming air as a result of the car’s forward motion. Not that I’ve tried mind.

Anyone know if Daz or Ariel is better that removing paintballs stains?

Actually that gives me an idea. Perhaps TV3 should commission some sculptor to whittle the shape of Bertie from a mound of frozen margarine. To get a proper likeness he should use the image of Bertie with pursed lips during his 18 seconds of silence moment earlier in the week.

Then, then….oh this would be so good… he’d be propped into the chair under hot studio lights in front of Ursula. She starts her probing: simple questions at first. Then, when he doesn’t answer, as he can’t because he’s been fashioned from margarine, the intensity of the questions would increase. Just as Ursula is digging down in to the core issue, chiding the Taoiseach on his willful intransigence, the heat from the lights would start to melt the figure of Bertie, pursed lips and all, before our very eyes. Ursula, irate at the end that her questions remain unanswered would walk out throwing her printed questions at the poor figurine of the North Dublin man. The lights would dim as the pages flutter down, with one or two of them sticking the melted mound of fake butter.

Yes, paint balling election posters is completely legal. I was doing it only the other night. Ben was driving us down the motorway as I leaned out the window with the paintball gun, shooting at the posters on the lampposts as we speeded passed them. I got several. We passed a couple of Gardai along the way too. They waved to us.

Ursula Halligan should try to get Bertie for her TV 3 Politics programme and if he does not turn up, (as is likely) , empty chair him while she asks the questions only she can ask!!!

Makes Vincent Brown look like a pussy cat.
