Effective though labour’s attack ad undoubtedly is.

I think a little more directness is worthwhile.

    I can’t help but thinking, is the original Labour ad really an attack ad? It’s nothing that the opposition haven’t been saying for some time and it doesn’t target anyone in particular, it’s more of a policy thing.

    Sure, it’s more emotionally manipulative, but I don’t think that factor alone defines it as an attack ad, as such.

    But yeah, Political Thicko’s re-working of it sure is – and I bet Labour wish they could get away with it too (the PDs probably do too, as nothing helps the parties more than being on the receiving end of a low blow!)
