Spell checking Mary Hanafin
Read more about: Education, Fianna Fail
After the wonderful stunt last week with Dyslexia, Mary Haffin has come out again on education, this time slamming Fine Gael. But there seems to be a misprint in the press release. Here is one line that seems to be in error:
This Government has made huge strides in improving our education system.Through increased investment and a strategic agenda for change we arepromoting excellence at all levels.
Surely she meant to say excellence at spelling. But also there is some more errors in the release. Is there not space between “are” and “promoting.” As well as in “Ministersaid,” “soundpolicy,” “acomprehensive,” “system.Through,” “lackfocus” and “possessingthe.” Also the word “uncosted” does not appear in the Free Dictionary, Chambers the Oxford Dictionary or dictionary.com. Sorry minister, going by your standards, whether your release is right or not, the fact that you make up words and misspelled some means that the points you raise don’t merit looking at compared to the Fine Gael ones because they can spell. Makes sense, doesn’t it?
