Blogging The Election: Guest Announcement Richard Delevan

Richard Delevan will be one of the guest speakers at Blogging The Election on Saturday. Richard is business editor of the Sunday Tribune and one of the first journalist in Ireland to take blogging and the wider set of social networking tools seriously. His sic notes blog was an early attempt to understand the phenomenon from the inside.

Richard will talk about how blogging raises important challenges, not least its capacity to fast fact check detail that journalists don’t have time to and also how the development of blogs in the US and the UK may hold lessons for blogging in Ireland.
