The Damascene Conversion Continues

Read more about: Fianna Fail, Fine Gael, Irish Election, Uncategorized

Seamus Brennan released a reaction to Enda’s Michael Collins principle stuff which has been consigned to, well, nowhere. It seems his department is really sinking into his skin;

“It’s time for Fine Gael and Enda Kenny to stop the cynical campaigning and allow an honest debate between parties. Soundbite-driven, attack politics may be good as a short-term tactic, but has nothing positive to offer in shaping the future of this country.”

and

“It would be a great service if Deputy Kenny followed suit and agreed to allow an honest debate between parties on the future direction of our country.”

So Enda is selling us short, fair enough and Collins did seem to fit a bit neatly into the amorphous principle Fine Gael has under Kenny. Still it takes two to tango; so while your at it Seamus, be a good lad and kick off a debate on the future direction of the country. Oh, I forgot, were all fine.

    Perhaps the big elephant in this living room is the impending gloom in 2008, plans for the future of the country may be full of depressing stuff. Sob.

    I would like to see the welfare state reform dealt with publicly and openly in the coming months. Its not like noone mentions it.

    Anyone else got points that need to be addressed in the future direction of this country? Likely to be a long running theme here.
