Lets cop on and do something about health

Just listening to morning Ireland there talking about the French heat wave. One line struck me. The guy talked about the terrible images of old people in the corridors of hospitals. Terrible image in France, Saturday in Ireland.

I don’t think politicians quiet get the crisis in the health service. As Mary Harney said this is a national emergency yet what do we get. Party politics. Mary Harney’s idea of letting private hospitals into public hospital grounds. This will create more beds. But do the other parties care. No they go on about how terrible it is that people make profit from health.

Maybe it is not the long term solution but it certainly is a solution. Instead of supporting the idea or indeed been constructive in their criticism they come out with sound bytes about privatisation.

Do you think someone in a trolley gives two flying F**KS if they are getting treated for profit. No of course not they just want to be treated with dignaty. The only people who do, are the people not in the trolleys.
