How can Fine Gael take away the right to defence, I think if they introduce this measure that they will be over stepping the mark by not fulfilling the right of a defence for every person.

As the title in the Western People says, Jim Higgins is calling for this. To the best of my knowledge, it has not been passed by the Fine Gael parliamentary party.

Pieces like this, which seek to define every utterance of a party political as the policy of that party, inhibits public debate, and serves no good purpose.

This country needs greater and freer public debate on isuses, not less.
