The man who has no fear of crime.

From Ireland.com

Taoiseach Bertie Ahern has told the Mahon tribunal he had “no reason” to use a bank account to deal with his income after his marital separation in 1987.

No reason? The guy was earning £60,000 a year and was willing to keep it lying around?

Mr Ahern agreed that sometimes his cheques would accumulate and they would be cashed by members of his staff when they went to the bank. They were just cashed and the money would either be given to him or left back on his desk, he said.

So wew will presume he is paid every month that is IR£5,000 a month, so if three are acculminated that is IR£15,000 just left on his desk (how much is that in todays money?). Bloody hell he has no fear of crime.

It’s funny how none of the Apostles ever saw the cash lying around like everyone else apparently did — otherwise they might have realised he didn’t need the dig-outs.
