RTE to show Loose Change?

Read more about: Cork North Central, Foreign Affairs, Kerry North

Word has reached me—not entirely confident about the source—that RTE have bought the rights to show Loose Change, the show about 9/11 being a government conspiracy, etc., etc. It will be interesting to see if the program discusses the reality behind some of the claims. Anyway, it might give Morgan Stack who we interviewed here a boost in the polls. You can watch it here.

I’ve become quite suspect of RTE’s judgement as regards docs ever since I watched “Killer Games” on RTE Two last Sunday… probably the most bias, ignorant and amateur piece of propaganda I’ve seen since the Gestapo Press closed down.

Loose Change has the odd fair point, but for the most part it was a bit fanciful… the makers seemed to have come to a conclusion and then found their footage and guests to suit that (and the version I saw of it was a very poorly produced affair… although it was only a college-student project, wasn’t really meant for the kind of exposure it got in the end)

Just saw an ad for this on RTÉ2. Godd stuff! About time we had some open debate on what really happened. This is likely to get quite a bit of media attention.

I’d prefer if it was Press For Truth. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5589099104255077250

Loose Change is about 50% solid and 50% crap. I understand that the creators actually agree with that and are making a slimmed down version without the crap.

It is reasuring to know that at the highest levels of our national broadcaster a decision was made to show people what happened on 911. It is a great shame when one must root out the truth from personal investigation on the internet, rather than it being presented to all people unconditionally, as it should be. The media have a sacred duty to pass information to the public, who can then act accordingly. The world of journalism has disgraced itself since 911 by staying silent. As a result hundreds of thousands of people have been massacred. Blood is no doubt on the hands of those who have not done their job. This is not about who made the film, nor the quality of it, nor even RTEs ratings. It is about exposing the rancid corruption that controls American politics today. If RTE survives the CIA airstrikes and shows loose change as they are planning to, my faith will be retored and i will consider paying my tv licence. Three cheers for RTE!

Actually seemingly it is not going to be shown soon. They are waiting for the re-edited version. and it will not be on until after the election.
