First this week Fine Gael wanted fishermen to fight drugs. Now they want the army to correct kids posture.

the army could also help with posture development of schoolchildren. There is considerable expertise in posture correction and improvement in the Defence Forces.

This is part of a press release that says

Fine Gael Defence Spokesman Jimmy Deenihan TD said that it is disappointing that Minister Willie O’Dea refuses to consider innovative proposals by Deputy Deenihan to use the Irish Army to set fitness standards, especially in our schools.

I have to say I congratulate Willie O’Dea on not being such a twit. The army instructors are not school PE teachers. Nor should they expected to be. PE teachers should be just that PE teachers. I could go on about the stupidity of this release but really I think it speaks for itself.
