Could it be true.

Read more about: Crime

When I saw this headline (Sinn Féin condemn shooting of Garda) in the Party news section of this site. I thought to myself. Oh my god could this be true could this finally be Sinn Fein standing up like any party would and condemning the murder of Gerry McCabe. Alas no.

Sinn Féin Group Leader Councillor Christy Burke has condemned this mornings shooting of a Garda in the North Inner City saying “it is yet another terrible example of the escalating drug and gun crime in the city.”

It seems to Sinn Fein that not all Gardai are the same and the wounding of a Garda is worse then the murder of one.

Well if that isn’t blatant hypocrisy then nothing is!!!

Sinn-Fein-IRA were able to tell that it was one of the drug gangs they don’t protect, supply and or control. The man used a shotgun. Sinn-Fein-IRA supported gangs use machine guns and pistols (that’s one way to “decommission” weeapons in the northern conflict I suppose but hardly what we had in mind).

Therefore they condemn it because it is a sign that they haven’t yet secured full control of the criminal underworld in Dublin.

Ah c’mon lads! Give the Shinners a break. Here’s to hoping that they condemn every attack on Gardai and even their Northern equivalents from here on in.
