IE.Pod Number 2

Read more about: Podcasts

The second edition of IE.Pod is online and available from here.

Thanks to everyone who took part-Suzy, Dan, WorldbyStorm, Kevin and Jon Ihle. Special thanks to Simon who both contributed and sorted the technology. While the comments and contributions are second to none, we did have some teething issues with the sound. Fear not, we will have it all improved for the next time out.

Comments to podcast at irishelection.com or in the box below. Below is an open thread/comment on the cast.
Among some issues you might wanna chat about;

1) That the Greens may prefer to stay out of power than go into coalition

2) That the threat to Israel may not be on the level of “existential”.

3) What with the current economic predictions, an ol period in opposition may do FF good.

4) That the cunning Bertie needs to resign and let Cowen/Hanafin come to power and sweep clean.

These and many other points discussed on the cast. Thanks again to everyone who took part.

    Spoke to Cian about this already; well done to all involved, some really interesting discussion… sadly some of the sound was a bit rough but that was the least important thing (once I could hear what you were all saying!)

    Look forward to future casts and hopefully will be able to give a dig-in at some point!

    I will try and stay closer to the mic in future. It was quite good for first effort I thought and a weekly slot of 3 topics of 15/20 minutes each should keep the punters happy.

    Hmmmm….I’ll try and have more speaking points before I start! Twenty minutes seems awful short when it’s actually happening. Great though that it’s up and running and hopefully there’ll be even more diversity of viewpoints in future casts.

    Irish Parties looking at learning online and database lessons from Obama could do worse than bear this post in mind. Almost as soon as the election is over, improvements and evolution are making some parts redundant and others essential. Get your campaign an i-phone for everyone? Might be better than printing flyers, it goes to show how parties, if they take it seriously, need to keep ahead of the wave - not just follow.
