Labour Go Flickr

Read more about: Blogging, Labour Party

It looks like Labour are catching up with the Greens for the best use of internet technology award. Not only has Liz McManus got a blog. All be it not an often updated blog compared to Ciaran Cuffe’s blog. But they have a flickr page now so check it out. All they need now is RSS on their site maybe podcast a few speechs, more blogging TD’s. Well done hopefully a few more parties will up their Internet game. The young generations now get most of their information from the internet. I have no idea of figures but I guess more young people read news on the web then in papers. Looking at the top visted pages in Ireland Boards.ie, BBC online, Blogger and RTE appear in the top 20. The top paper is in fact the British Guardian. The Parties need to up their game as do the Irish papers. See Niall’s post The Kids are Alright! Drink, Drugs, Sex and Bebo

Irish Parties looking at learning online and database lessons from Obama could do worse than bear this post in mind. Almost as soon as the election is over, improvements and evolution are making some parts redundant and others essential. Get your campaign an i-phone for everyone? Might be better than printing flyers, it goes to show how parties, if they take it seriously, need to keep ahead of the wave - not just follow.
