Pat Rabbitte was just on the tail-end of the 9 o’clock news, saying that he doesn’t know whether it’s going to be a ‘fiery’ debate or not, but that most people ‘have already made up their minds who they’re going to vote for’ so it’s not the most important debate ever.
Er, wtf? Last time I checked there were around 20% undecided, the PD’s were imploding, the Greens were failing to capitalise on the momentum that they had a few weeks ago and Sinn Féin could stand to gain the most from the undecideds. He should be storming in there and kicking ass, not planning a softly-softly approach.
Is this his way of saying I shouldn’t waste the next hour of my life watching the debate?
