Alliance for Change moving ahead in all polls

Read more about: Blogging, Fianna Fail, Fine Gael, Irish Election, Labour Party, Polls, Progressive Democrats

Looks like this is a first but it seems that tomorrow’s IMS poll will show the Alliance for Change, i.e. FG/Lab on 39% putting it just ahead of the current Government, i.e. FF/PD on 38%.

It’s a first as this is the first time that all the major polling companies have FG/Lab outpolling the current FF/PD Government. This close race could easily be influenced by the debates on RTE on Wednesday (Pat Rabbitte, Michael McDowell, Trevor Sargent and Gerry Adams) and on Thursday (Taoiseach Bertie Ahern and Taoiseach-hopeful Enda Kenny). Game On !

    Yes, I’ll second that.

Also, it must be noted that they are a whole 1% up (within the margin of error) while there’s a scandal going on. That doesn’t say much for the coalition.

It still is - as it has been for sometime - too hard to call.

I’m sure some focus groups must have loved it somewhere and given some of the alternatives, I’m happy to go with the term. Any better suggestions ?

    FG/Lab on 39% + FF/PD on 38% = FF/Lab in Government.

It’s not the Coalition for Change, it’s the Alliance for Change.
