Blog Roundup Day 11

Michael Reade of LMFM has a cracking new service whereby candidates from Louth, Meath East and Meath West who enter into debate each morning on LMFM’s Loose Talk programme can be heard online at Michael’s homepage www.loosetalkmichael.com.

Wednesday’s (personal name not day of the week) blog notes that Mary Harney has called for a Sinn Féin vote this polling day - albeit inadvertingly. Still, a fuck up is a fuck up.

The Irish blog world’s paper millionaire, twenty major, has entered video satire with this little ribbing of Enda Kenny. It’s funny alright, but it’s not political thicko. Twenty Major needs to drop the southpark voiceover impersonation.

Irish Eagle expresses regret at the lack of real issues in Irish political life, and wishes for parties that just recognised the sameness and lived with it. Fair enough, but a bit like asking bloggers to stop going on about their inane lives. Everybody knows it should happen, but everyone knows it won’t. Take last week, for example, there I was talking to Paula when…

Noel Dempsey has an uptodate entry on the opening of Stormont. Strictly, though, it doesn’t count as a blog, as there’s no facilitiy for comments. Bad show, Noel, i would expect more from yourself. Also, the entry was filed at 4.17AM, which leads me to suspect the heavy hand of hired helper than the Matt Damon of Irish politics. Still, I’d forgive Dempsey almost anything as me bought my sorry ass after he doubled the third level grant back in 2002.

the Limerick Blogger has a nice bit of in-fighting from the Fianna Fáil camp, one that includes Willie O’Dea. god bless ‘im.

Finally, Brian Greene has a great little cartoon on the mobile phone prison joe duffy scandal from last week.

(Thanks to Cian for, well, all the links to the above.)

It’s more an homage to the greatest satirists of modern times than an impersonation . Yeaaaaah.
